REGIONAL NEWS - A group of women and men gathered in Plettenberg Bay on Saturday 31 January for a powerful protest.

A collective scream reverberated through the main street, carrying a message on behalf of those across the country whose cries have gone unanswered. The group screamed for their grief, their loss and their pain.

The protest was sparked by the violent murder of their friend, Nicky van Heerden (54), and was organised by Get Nosey. During the protest, a petition was handed to the police calling for the immediate establishment of a public registry of violent offenders.
