Dias Museum celebrates 37 years

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Bartolomeu Dias Museum hosted its annual celebration in honour of the museum's official opening 37 years ago, on Friday 6 January.
The museum was officially opened in Mossel Bay on 3 February 1989.
Mossel Bay's mayor, Dirk Kotzé, as well as representatives of the Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, the Transnet National Port of Authority (TNPA) and the Consulate General of Portugal joined in the festivities.
Learners of Global Academy of Education and Kids Kingdom, as well artists of the Heritage Theatre in Mossel Bay, showcased their many talents through lively musical performances, creating an energetic atmosphere.

At the end of the celebrations, cake and refreshments were enjoyed by guests who also took the opportunity to explore the museum.
