Wide support makes CPF Mass Ride a memorable occasion

GEORGE NEWS - The George Community Police Forum has expressed a heartfelt thank you to all who participated in and supported their yearly George Christmas Mass Ride on Saturday 20 December.
Rupert Pretorius, chairman, said everyone's involvement played a vital role in making the event safe, successful, and truly special.
CPF members, neighbourhood watches, security teams, traffic officers, the police, ambulance and towing services, local businesses and community members were part of the ride through the various CPF sectors in George.
Along the way, residents pitched up in numbers with their children to view the procession of about 40 vehicles drive past with excited little ones watching out to catch sweets flying through the air or for a hug and a sweet from the Grinch or Father Christmas.
"All the participants' time, dedication, and cooperation ensured the smooth running of the ride and also helped spread a wonderful spirit of unity, generosity and festivity throughout our community.
"Events like this are only possible because of people like this who are willing to give their support and work together," said Pretorius.
