Meiringspoort to be closed for half-marathon on 11 October

GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The N12 between Klaarstroom and De Rust, known as Meiringspoort, will be closed to all traffic on Saturday, 11 October, from 05:00 to 11:00.

The closure is to accommodate the annual Meiringspoort Half-Marathon.

During this time, the route will be inaccessible in both directions.

Motorists are advised to make use of alternative routes:

• Willowmore route – suitable for all vehicles, including heavy motor vehicles.
• Swartberg Pass – open to light motor vehicles only.

The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure urges road users to plan their trips accordingly and thanks the public for their cooperation.
