Southern Academy needs funding for Cape Town game
SOCCER NEWS - The Thembalethu-based Southern Academy U19 soccer team has qualified for the next round of the prestigious annual Bayhill Premier Cup tournament play-offs after beating MA Colville 1-0 in a tough game at the Greens Manenberg Sports Group in Cape Town on Saturday 17 January.
John Komichi of Southern Academy sent his side to the next round with his goal.
The team said it is grateful for the opportunity to give young players this platform to showcase their talent.
Southern Academy is looking for financial support for this next trip to Cape Town. Most of the players are still in school, and some adult players are unemployed.
They ask George's communities, stakeholders and church leaders to support them through funding.
