Athletics spirit alive and well

ATHLETICS NEWS - The athletic spirit was definitely alive and well at the u.11 girls shotput event on Friday during the Junior Interhouse Athletics day for Grade 1 to 7 learners.
The yearly rivalry between Arnott House and Daly House started in fine style, as the young athletes gave it their all in various track and field events.
After the competition, the moms decided to join in on the action and were allowed to add some points to their children's respective houses.
Results in the girls' shotput event:
- Wanda Meyer - first place with an impressive 7,70m throw
- Bronwen Jacobs - secured a second place with 7,31m throw
- Karen McEwan - grabbed the third place with a solid 7,03m throw
Arnott House clinched the victory with an impressive 1 446 points while Daly collected 1 314 points.
