KAROO NEWS -  Entries are now open for one of the Western Cape’s most scenic endurance events, the Ladismith Cheese 7Weekspoort MTB & Trail Run Challenge, taking place near Ladismith on 3 and 4 October.

Set in the heart of the Karoo, framed by the Seweweekspoort, this annual event continues to attract runners and mountain bikers from across the province and beyond.

Hosted at Karoo62Escapes along the iconic R62, the challenge combines tough racing with unforgettable landscapes and warm Karoo hospitality.

Trail runners may choose between 10km and 18km routes that wind through rugged terrain and river crossings, while mountain bikers can line up for the 30km, 40km or the demanding 85km ride, widely regarded as the flagship distance of the event.
