Red Men Trail Run’s 10th anniversary

GEORGE NEWS - The 10th annual Red Men Trail Run was held at Herold Wines on Sunday 4 January, drawing more than 200 runners despite the persistent wet weather.
The participants tackled either the 12km or 18km routes under challenging conditions brought on by some much-needed rainfall.
In keeping with the spirit of trail running, the rain did little to dampen the atmosphere as the runners embraced the muddy terrain and maintained a positive vibe throughout the event.
Race director Juan Botes described the race as a major success and expressed his appreciation to all participants and supporters.
He added that the organisers are already looking forward to welcoming the Red Men runners back again in 2027.
The Troy 52 Trophy (in remembrance of Troy Schofield) was won by Alec Cronje.
