GEORGE NEWS - Those Garden Route Mall shoppers who had their gift purchases wrapped by the mall during the festive season have made a much-appreciated difference to the live of the less fortunate people in George.
On 23 and 27 January, the mall donated the funds raised from the gift-wrapping initiative over December to seven non-profit organisations in George to assist them. The two gift wrapping stations at Pick n Pay and Woolworths had managed to generate R65 000 in six days - from 19 to 24 December.

The following seven deserving organisations received donations: R10 000 each to Empower, Life Community Services, the George Association for Persons with Disabilities, Bethesda Care Centre, Zenzele Aftercare and the Rosemoor Service Centre, as well as R5 000 to Tuiniqua Care Centre.
"We would like to thank all the customers for supporting this cause and making a difference to our communities," said the mall's marketing manager, Tumi Masango.
