Knysna Heads Marathon set for Valentine’s Day run

KNYSNA NEWS - The annual Knysna Heads Marathon, hosted by the Knysna Marathon Club, will take place on Saturday, 14 February, coinciding with Valentine’s Day and offering runners a range of race options through some of Knysna’s most scenic routes.The event includes a 42.2km full marathon, which serves as a qualifying race for both the Comrades and Two Oceans marathons, a 21.1km half marathon, a 10km race, and a 5km fun run aimed at families and recreational runners.According to organisers, the event continues to attract both local and visiting runners, with the shorter-distance races providing an accessible entry point for those new to road running.

The 5km fun run, in particular, is expected to draw community members looking for a relaxed and social race experience.With Valentine’s Day falling on race day, organisers say the marathon offers participants an opportunity to combine fitness with a shared social experience.
