Golf club tees off in the new year

GOLF NEWS - The first golf of 2024 took place on 3 January with golf enthusiasts gathering to participate in the individual Stableford competition.

In the sweltering heat of the day, the 19th hole added an extra layer of enjoyment to the proceedings.

The following competitions were played:

Individual Stableford competition - 3 January

• First prize - Jaco Venter - 37
• Second prize - André Olivier - 37
• Third prize - Derek Light - 37
• Two Clubs - Jaco Venter, JL du Plessis, Grant Marais, Bets Henning and C Marais

Medal competition - 6 January

• A Division - Rico Bester
• B Division - Deon Arnoldi
• C Division - André Olivier
• Winner - Rico Bester
• Two Club - Dennis Hendriks
