Thembalethu High matric pass rates tumble

GEORGE NEWS - Thembalethu High School saw its matric pass rates go down to 68.1%, from 75.1% in 2024.

In total, 255 learners wrote the 2025 National Senior Certificate exams. The school’s matriculants achieved a total of 36 distinctions, 69 bachelor’s passes, 50 diploma passes and 54 higher certificate passes.

Two learners, Zintle Sonti and Esinako Nyameli, achieved distinctions in life sciences.

Grade 12 English teacher Somilla Dunjwa thanked the teachers, parents and learners for working together throughout the year.
