GEORGE NEWS - Eight George schools showcased their talent at the annual Shakespeare Schools Festival, held at the Market Community Arts Theatre from 12 to 14 September.

Thembalethu Primary, Bramble Hill International, Tyholora Primary, Imizamu Yethu Secondary, Glenwood House, Jonga High, Heidedal Primêr and Inkcukubeko Science Centre each brought fresh 30-minute adaptations of Shakespeare's plays to life.

The performances, in various languages and unique settings, delighted audiences with their creativity and energy.

Friday night drew a full house, with laughter and excitement filling the theatre.

Thanks to hosts Xollisa Mtshiselwa and Heather Stead, the programme ran smoothly, and proud learners left the stage clutching their certificates and trophies, beaming from the experience.
